Visual Submission Requirements
To ensure our digital exhibition space preserves the museum-grade quality of your physical practice, all uploaded media must meet strict technical and presentation criteria. Our curators rely on these exact standards to evaluate your work, and our collector circles expect pristine, true-to-life clarity before securing an acquisition.
Technical Image Specifications
Before dropping your files into the upload fields, verify that your digital assets align with these technical standards based on your submission type:
Physical Original Artworks (With or Without Prints)
File Format & Size: Upload files in high-quality JPEG or PNG formats. Each individual image must have a resolution of at least 300 DPI to ensure smooth rendering on high-definition displays and mobile viewports.
Lighting & Color Profiles: Shoot your work under bright, color-balanced, indirect lighting (natural overcast daylight or professional studio softboxes). Ensure the digital representation exactly matches the real-world tones, saturation, and contrast of your medium.
The "Zero-Glare" Rule: Avoid direct flash or harsh angles that cause reflection hot-spots on high-gloss varnishes, epoxy resins, or glass surfaces.
Print Shop Exclusives (Digital Only)
File Format & Size: Upload images in JPEG format exported at maximum quality (100%). The intake pipeline safely accommodates a maximum file size of up to 10 MB per upload to preserve fine-art details.
Resolution & Quality: Prepare and export files at 150 DPI. This is the gold standard for crisp, professional-quality gallery prints at large dimensions without pixelation.
Color Profile: Embed the RGB color profile into the files to maintain vibrant, accurate color translation through our digital printing pipeline.
Maximum Print Formats: Canvas prints support sizing up to 180cm x 120cm; Fine Art Paper prints support sizing up to 100cm x 140cm.
File Naming Conventions
To keep our inventory cleanly cataloged and linked across our curation systems, please rename all image files using the exact structures below before uploading:
Primary Artwork Image: ArtistName_ArtworkTitle_Primary.jpg
Example: JaneDoe_SunriseOverTheHorizon_Primary.jpg
Print Master File (For Print-Only or Hybrid choices): ArtistName_ArtworkTitle_PrintMaster.jpg
Secondary Image (Originals only): ArtistName_ArtworkTitle_Secondary.jpg
Detail/Texture Shots (Originals only): ArtistName_ArtworkTitle_Detail1.jpg (increment numbers for multiple shots)
Signature Verification (Originals only): ArtistName_Signature.jpg
Framing & Cropping Integrity
How you crop your primary presentation shot determines its visual impact on the gallery storefront.
Primary Artwork Image: Your primary image must be cropped exactly to the absolute borders of the artwork edge. Do not include background studio clutter, painter's tape, easels, flooring, or gallery wall textures.
Handling Frames: Do not include a decorative frame in your primary upload unless the frame is physically integrated, built by the artist, and permanently included as a non-negotiable component of the retail purchase price.
Stretched Canvas Profiles: If your work is an unframed gallery-wrapped canvas, ensure your primary shot is taken completely square-on to avoid perspective distortion.
Supplemental Shots & Context
(Physical Originals Only)
To give curators and collectors a complete physical understanding of your original work, please provide the following views. Print Shop Exclusives can disregard these fields.
Secondary Image: A secondary high-resolution shot verifying structural integrity from an alternate clean profile or angle.
Detail or Texture Shot: Close-up imagery highlighting specialized mark-making, heavy impasto brushwork, delicate linen weaves, or unique medium interactions. You may submit up to 5 individual close-ups.
Signature Verification: A clear, close-up photograph of your artist signature, monogram, or official stamp as it appears physically on the corner or reverse side of the work.
